Она занимает более 50% в производстве механизмов Швейцарии и около 20% в объеме мирового рынка.
15 фабрик ETA находится в Швейцарии, 3 завода — во Франции, и по одному в Германии, Малайзии и Таиланде. Азиатские фабрики производят механизмы для местного рынка, они не имеют отметки Swiss Made, но сохраняют стандарты швейцарского качества.
В 2013 году Swatch Group под давлением Антимонопольного комитета приняли решение сократить поставки своих калибров ETA другим участниками рынка, вне своего концерна. Но в 2016 году, в связи с резким падением продаж наручных часов, компания решила пересмотреть свое решение.

One of the most common Swiss watch movements, the ETA 2824-2 is the third refinement of the original ETA 2824. Like most ETA movements, Cal. 2824-2 is available in Standard, Elaborate, Top, and Chronometer versions. The similar ETA 2836-2 adds a day wheel. Cal. 2824-2 replaced Cal. 2824-1 in 1982.
Cal. 2824-2 is frequently re-branded by other companies. Examples include Ball 2050, Frederique Constant FC-303, Glycine GL 224, Jean Marcel JM A05, Nord N3, TAG Heuer Calibre 5, and U-Boat U-28.
Since the patents for the design are expired, there are a number of clone movements. Common ETA 2824-2 clones include the following:

Current ETA 2800 Family
The ETA 2800 family currently consists of six movements in production since 1982. They are compact but not particularly slim automatic movements operating at 28,800 A/h. The basic Cal. 2824-2 and 2836-2 are among the most widely-used movements in modern Swiss watches. Although over 5 dozen different movements in this series have been produced, just six are available today. Due to restrictions from Swiss COMCO regulations, ETA is unable to sell movements outside the Swatch Group since 2020. This has forced many watch makers to turn to the similar Sellita SW200 series of movements.
